Started a career as a air combat fighter pilot in the South African Air Force, where he flew Operational Combat Missions in the war in a Mirage F1CZ, Mirage 111CZ and Impala Mk1 and 11 mostly in SAAF premier Air Combat 2 and 3 Squadrons.
After leaving the Air Force in 1991 he went into aviation business and then sold Streamline Aviation with 24 Aircraft to Imperial, as JSE listed Company and joined National Airways & Finance Corporation as a significant shareholder and appointed Group Executive Director Operations. Under this leadership role NAC expanded its Fixed Wing and Helicopter Charter and International Operations and Training Divisions to the largest in Africa to become a highly respected and successful operation with 130 + aircraft and over 300 Aircrew and Instructors in Jet, turbine and piston Aircraft and Helicopters operating in many countries all over the globe.
One of his portfolios in the new position included training and in 2002 he also became a board member of 43 Air School after leading and being instrumental in the acquisition of 43 Air School (Pty) Ltd for the group.
In 2009 he was appointed Group CEO of 43 Air School and remained a Director and shareholder of NAC.

Shaun joined the 43 Air school team in 2004. Having been promoted from a management position at NAC he gave up the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg and relocated to the tranquil Port Alfred where he met and married Claire. They became the proud parents of their daughter Kayleigh in 2011. Shaun's career started in the banking sector where he gained valuable experience in mortgage and commercial lending as well as divisional management. Having graduated with a B Compt from Unisa Shaun siezed an opportunity to further his financial career in the aviation industry and joined NAC as the accountant of their helicopter division in 1997. Shaun's love for all things flying is matched by his keen interest in most forms of motor sport. He is well travelled and shares his love of the outdoors and nature,which is abundant in the Eastern Cape, with his family.

Joined 43 Air school in February 2012 after having served various international companies in senior Strategic & Commercial sales and brand marketing functions. This along with Trevor's life long passion for aviation and all that is related to this industry has equipped him with the necessary core understanding and focus to drive 43 Air school's commercial ambitions beyond 2020. Trevor's key focus is aligning the ability of 43 Air school to the Airline industry's pilot crew development demands . Backed by a brand that is synonymous in Airline pilot development and bolstered by over 28 years of experience is what makes his role in Marketing 43 so rewarding.

Brig Gen (Rtd) Des Lynch was a Cat A1 Flying Instructor in the SA Air Force. He served on 27 Squadron as a maritime pilot and later headed the SAAF Aviation Safety Programme. While serving as Officer Commanding AFB Ysteplaat, he completed the UNISA MBL degree in 1991. After retiring from the SAAF he worked in the IT Industry as a Business Consultant. Des joined 43 Air School in 2008. He lectures Human Performance and heads up the Flying Training Team.
Ockert joined the 43 Air school team in 2009.
Ockert’s career started in the aviation sector in 1994 where he Completed he’s apprenticeship with Denel aviation on Dassault Mirage F1 and Airmacchi MB-326 and moved on to the airline and private aviation sector. Qualified as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Ockert applied he’s knowledge in the Unmanned and Manned aircraft industry and traveled the world in doing so.
Ockert's key focus is to ensure that we have the safest fleet of aircraft and helicopters in the industry. Backed by a team of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and industry Specialists is what makes his role in Aircraft maintenance at 43 Air School AMO 046 so rewarding.
